Becta
Communities
An e-mail list (or forum) is a good way of exchanging news and views
with other like-minded souls. Participants may be anywhere in the
country (or even the world) and this can make for a very useful
forum. Becta manages several such forums each one targeted at a
different audience eg, SEN/Inclusion (Several mail lists), Internet
safety, Learning Platforms and more..
Gabbitas Online Recruitment
If you are looking for a job in either the independent sector or an English school abroad
then this could be a useful place to look.
Teachers' Discounts
What it says on the tin.. A
website that aims to show you where you can get stuff cheaper. It
does this by negotiating discounts with major High Street retailers,
and then provides them for free at the website.
Tag Teachernet
You need to join (it's totally free) to gain access to this site but once inside there are
Resources and Links (lots of them), News, a Teachers' Grapevine and a Job Search.

The Teacher Support Network
Teacher Support Network is the national charity offering practical and emotional support
to teachers. Our services include Teacher Support Line, the free, 24-hour information,
support and counselling service, which is available on 08000 562 561 or by e-mail from the
web site. Although TSN is actually part of the NUT its services are available to all
teachers regardless of their union affiliation (or lack of it). |
