Electrical circuits Introduction

When we draw electrical circuits we need to ensure that they are CLEAR. To help us to do this we often use symbols so other people know what we mean. Here are some symbols that are used:

 

Remember that you need a complete circuit for electricity to flow!

This is what the circuit should look like with the switch open. For this circuit to work we would have to close the switch. Did you get it right?
